Venus Printing Company was established in the year 1985 as a proprietrix firm in the name of Mrs. A.G.M.Gomathi, w/o A.G.Mathivanan. Venus is a sister concern of Ram Paper Varnishing Works which was started in the year 1977 by Mr. A.G.Mathivanan which is a well-reputed printing and varnishing company (water and chemical-based coating). Venus was initially started as a printing ink manufacturing company, soon it ventured into Sheetfed-Offset 4 color printing (large size machines of size 36×48 inches) in the year 1986 based on market analysis and other references.

Later in the year 1989 Venus ventured into Web-Offset 8 color printing for printing government text books and magazines and also started its own coating business, water and chemical-based coating such as UV, Matt and Aqua (glossy shine on Duplex boards). Binding unit was also later developed around the same year, for composing and finishing books and magazines.

The company is currently being managed by 3 managing directors – Mr. A.G. Mathivanan – who handles sales and marketing, Mr. Ram Vignesh – (S/o A.G. Mathivanan) – who handles production and Mr. Harshavaradhan (grandson of A.G. Mathivanan) – who handles quality, with a goal to full-fill customers requirements in every aspect.

In 2020 the company has ventured into corrugated boxes with the aim of fulfilling the packaging needs of its existing clients. The company mainly handles export orders with quality as its main priority. Currently, the company is venturing into UV printing for high-quality mono cartons.
